Defining the Station Boards
The FX II accepts digital and industry standard telephones. In order to use these different types of
telephones, you must install the correct station board. The station boards are as follows:
Digital Station Board
The digital station board provides support for Comdial’s proprietary digital telephones (such as the
Impact SCS). Each board supports either four, eight, or 16 stations.
Industry-Standard Telephone Board
The industry-standard station board provides support for industry-standard telephones. Each board
supports either four, eight, twelve, or sixtenn industry-standard telephones. Certain industry-standard
station boards also support message waiting lamps and caller ID.
