Bridged Consoles

Use this programming entry to assign DSS/BLF Impact SCS consoles to certain model

Impact SCS telephones that provide a bridged console port (telephone models: 8324F,

8324S, 8312S, and 8212S and console models: IB24X and IB48X).

When you connect an Impact SCS console to the bridged console port of these telephones,

you connect the console to the same station port that is connected to the telephone.

If you replace an Impact console with an Impact SCS model IB24X or IB48X console, be

sure to use VMMI programming to uninstall the original console. The system requires this

action for both standard and bridged console operation. If you do not take this precaution,

the new console may operate improperly and the lamp indications may be incorrect.

1. From the Stations screen,

select the station you wish to

assign a console.

2. Click on the Bridged

Console button.

3. Select the 24 or 48 Button

console.

4. Click on the Installed box.

[TIP]: The station selected must

have an Impact SCS phone

assigned in Phone Types before

VMMI will display the console

model options.
